Description
The photo shows the pier in Sopot, which has recently been named after John Paul II. It is the longest promenade of this type along the entire Baltic Sea. The walking part of the pier stretches over half a kilometer and goes deep into the Bay of Gdańsk. The pier is located at the head of the pier. This is one of the most recognizable symbols of the city of Sopot.
The city of Sopot is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful seaside resorts located in Poland. Both Polish and foreign tourists visit it with pleasure. The most famous attractions of Sopot are the pier and the festival in the Forest Opera, organized continuously since 1961. In Sopot, in addition to the charms of the beaches, we will find a lot of beautiful places to visit, such as the Monte Cassino promenade, fishing harbor, historic lighthouse or Forest Opera.
