Implementation of the GDPR for the Joomla platform
The main features of the Joomla GDPR Plugin:
- Right to obtain information – the customer has the right to obtain information about data accumulation
- The right to obtain data – the customer has the right to download information about his personal data from the site
- The right to be anonymous – the customer has the right to specify their data as anonymous
- The right to be forgotten – the customer has the right to delete his account from the site along with the data
- The right to limit processed data – the customer has the right to limit his data
- The right to manage data – the customer has the right to manage and edit his data
- Right to object – the customer has the right to limit the use of his data for marketing purposes
- Right to receive notifications – in the event of an undesirable situation in the system (e.g. data leakage) the customer will be immediately informed
Features of Joomla GDPR Plugin:
- Creating information about cookies that are used on the website
- Creating three checkboxes with additional approvals (e.g. acceptance of the privacy policy during customer registration (forcing approval of consent for customers registered before the introduction of the GDPR)
- Creating an easy-to-use administrative panel with requests to delete or anonymize personal data
- Creating options to enable or disable bookmarks
GDPR Joomla Plugin from May 25, 2018 is a mandatory implementation for any activity processing the personal data of customers or their employees operating within the European Union or outside the EU, but providing its services to customers from that territory.
